Garmin Releases New Aviation Training Events 2019

Garmin is pleased to declare expanded aviation training opportunities for 2019 to conduct additional classes all over the United States and various instructor-led courses. Such training classes are available for the GTN 650/750 touchscreen navigator series, G3X Touch, the G500/G600 and G500 TXi/G600 TXi flight display systems, GWX aviation weather radar and Garmin Integrated Flight Decks. These training events for pilots will provide them with a hands-on approach to learn about Garmin avionics taught by certified and experienced flight instructors in a classroom environment.

New for 2019 – G3X Touch Installation And Pilot Training

Garmin has announced to host a 2-day course which will review the fundamentals associated with maintenance and installation considerations of the G3X Touch flight display. The Pilot training event includes how to navigate effectively and use the communication, PFD/MFD, surveillance, and navigation equipment within the unit. The fees for this Garmin’s 2-day course is $495 and it will be held in Olathe, Kansas. Here are the dates:

  • April 15-16, 2019
  • October 17-18, 2019

 

G1000NXi/G1000 Pilot Training

Planned to serve both experienced and novice aviators, this 2-day course will analyze the capabilities of the G1000NXi or G1000 Integrated Flight Decks by giving a scenario-based, hands-on training in a classroom environment. The focus of the course will be on the automatic flight control system, vertical navigation, instrument procedures, flight planning and more. The fees to attend the G1000NXi/G1000 training class is $749 and it will take place in Olathe, Kansas. The scheduled dates are:

  • March 7-8, 2019
  • June 10-11, 2019
  • September 26-27, 2019

 

GTN 750/650 And Flight Displays

For the pilots who are looking for an avionics update or those who have an existing GTN 750/650 paired with a Garmin flight display, the company is set to host numerous training classes specifically tailored to flying with this avionics. The 2-days course offers a collaborative environment crafted to help pilots to transit and grow up to Garmin flight displays from the analog flight instrumentation. A practice & presentation format provides attendees with an opportunity to practice in-flight scenarios of the real world with Garmin avionics. The fees to attend the training class is $625 and it is to be held in Olathe, Kansas. The scheduled dates are:

  • 14th – 15th January 2019
  • 2nd – 3rd March 2019
  • 22nd – 23rd August 2019
  • 4th – 5th November 2019

 

GTN750/650 Pilot Training

Pilots can also avail the benefits of training classes specifically tailored to the GTN touchscreen series. You can attend this 2-day course by paying $495. It highlights the activating and loading departures, flight plan modifications, flying holds, visual and instrument approach procedures and more. GTN-specific classes will also be hosted in Olathe, Kansa and the scheduled dates are:

  • 25th – 26th March 2019
  • 26th – 27th October 2019

 

Pilot Training Classes – Regional United States Locations

These classroom-based training events will be held throughout various locations in the United States in 2019. These opportunities will offer the similar in-depth guidelines provided at Garmin Headquarters, housing the G500/G600, G500TXi/ G600 TXi, GTN 650/750 avionics suites and G3X Touch. Aviation Weather Radar Class

Successful weather radar operation requires a comprehensive knowledge of operational techniques and considerations as well as radar principles. This class focuses on the fundamentals of the airborne and ground-based weather radar systems and envelopes best practices for using the Garmin GWX 80, GWX 75 and GWX 70. The class concludes on a scenario-based module over weather threat management. This class is advisable for the pilots looking forward to refining their weather radar skills, pilots with limited weather radar experience and those who are transitioning from other radar systems.

Integrated Flight Decks

The Integrated Flight Deck training is specifically tailored for flight operations performed by the pilots and aircraft types. These on-demand courses depend on the availability of training aids, instructors and other resources. The classes offer a hands-on learning opportunity in an environment structured as per the requirements of the pilots flying with the G5000/G500H, G3000 or G1000/G1000H Integrated Flight Decks.

For those who are interested in the web-based online classes, Garmin provides various eLearning courses for the Link 2000+, G5000 and G3000 Integrated Flight Decks, GTN 750/650, Essentials and Weather Radar Operations. These are self-paced eLearning courses that guide clients through the scenarios that help in building their confidence with the Garmin avionics systems.

Garmin will host different training classes at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) – Convention and Exhibition in Las Vegas, NV on 22nd – 24th October 2019 and at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on 22nd -28th July 2019.
